Mission Friends

Church had Mission friends kick off and the kids are really excited about this new Sunday night program. The kids had different stations with games and earned points at each one. Points were tallied and prizes were given out at the end.
For some crazy reason the Youth Group girls decided that they wanted to paint fingernails. It was a HUGE hit...that is were Hayley spent most of her time!!
The kids loved showing off the medals and are ready to begin this fun adventure next week. I'm excited about being able to go to Adult Bible study for once and not having to teach a class...its a much welcomed and needed change.

Baby Shower

I love the fact that the Spitzngael side of the family is constantly growing, this year alone we are welcoming two new babies (Kelly and Stefanie) that we know of and a wedding (Erin and Brian)!! Who knows by the next family gathering someone could be sharing more exciting news. Hayley and I headed to Aunt Debby's to join all the "hens" and "chicks" for Kelly's baby shower.

Hayley thought that cake was too cute
As always there was lots of yummy food and a chance to catch up with everyone. Hayley was super excited to be able to play with the girl cousins. Bree we missed you!

You never know at a shower what kind of crazy story will be read for the traditional "right/left" game. The fact that its written with love by the hens and chicks makes it even more interesting and special. You are guaranteed for a good laugh and cry all within a few minutes of each other.
The famous "right/left" story

I love the fact that I get to share some special girl time with Hayley and cherish all the memories of the showers and teas. It's truly a blessing to be part of this and pray that the traditions will continue on for many, many more years as our children get older.

Kelly and Seth we are so excited about the arrival of Baby Miller. Cherish last few weeks, every little contraction, kick, heart burn, sleepless night, full bladder-its so worth it when you finally get to hold your little miracle in your arms. Love you.

They arrived!!!

I checked the mail on the way in this evening and was super excited when I found 3 white envelopes, I knew exactly what they were!!! Brian mailed his application in a day later then the kids and I because of the problem with his birth certificate--he should get his later this week! I opened mine while the kids were in the shower, I couldn't wait!!!

Right before they headed to bed I told them that I had a special suprise for them, they had no idea what
it was.....

They both squealed with excitement and immediately wanted to compare the pictures to themselves, you know just in case their looks changed in the last 3 weeks

After this crazy weather that we have been having, we ALL (Brian included) are ready for some warmer and dry weather!! We get to cross another item off our "To do list."

T minus 131 days until we set sail!!

Report Cards

Kids finally got report card this week (delayed because of all the snow this week)  and I am BEYOND proud of both. Hunter has made Principal's List (all A's) again and Hayley has all "E's" which is equivalent to an A. We are so blessed that both kiddos love school and have such wonderful teachers, this makes things a little easier. Here's to praying good grades continues until their Senior Year!!

Catch up....

It's been a while since I have had a chance to blog so bare with me as I try to remember what all has been happening! Seems like we haven't done anything at all but we have had a  super busy week. Two snow days this week,Monday and Wednesday, and are up to 6 snow days this year. Scary thing is that its not even February, so we are now in school until June 2!! We all are trying not to go stir crazy being snowed in and trying  also to stay afloat with the normal routine weekly things: school, church, Vision Therapy, Shots, etc. I am BEYOND ready for a normal FULL week of school and sadly enough, so are the kids.
Here are some pictures from our crazy and wild week:

Hayley woke up like this on Monday--thank God for a snow day!
