Baby Oedy is here!!!

Our good friends, The Oedy's (Diana, Bro. Josh,  Lana and Nathan) welcomed their precious baby girl, Ava Joy,  into this world yesterday. I couldn't wait to head to the hospital and get some quality time holding and loving on her.

Ava Joy Oedy
August 30, 2011
8 pounds 4 ounces
21" long
She is the most laid back child ever! I was so surprised how awake and content she was while I was there, I did stay a LONG while. She must of recognized my voice from rubbing and talking to her all the time. God love Diana, she just sat there and let me do it!!

 wish this picture would flip...grr
All the Oedy kids have the longest toes ever....Ava is no exception!! LOVE IT
Welcome sweet Ava, you are truly loved and blessed with an awesome family. I look forward to spoiling you right along with your brother and sister!!

Just fishin'

It was a perfect evening for some quality family time fishin.'  Things here have been wild, crazy and non stop for pretty much this whole month and we haven't seem much of Brian. Fishin' is something that we LOVE to do and can spend hours enjoying this filled with lots of laughter, love and memories.

LOVE this tree...its so huge

OH. MY. WORD.
Can we say attitude?

SO PROUD
Hunter caught the first fish of the evening!

Brian was the next....his is a little smaller

One of my favorite pictures
I was looking at Hunter and really got emotional, he is growing up so fast. I mean seriously, he looks about 13 in this picture...boots, jeans and tank top. He is truly a country boy at heart

 See, I really was there.
It was getting hot, kids were hungry,  the fish were not biting (the Lake is still very high from the flood), bugs were biting and we were on the verge of meltdowns so were told the kids this is your last cast. I looked over and this is what I saw. (you may need to make the picture bigger to really see it)

Hunter caught a fish and he was showing Hayley how to hold it...

I don't know who was more proud: Hunter, Hayley or I
These are the little memories and moments that I cherish, the ones that reinforces they REALLY do love each other and look out for each other. I know that it seems as they are getting older the bickering is more but when it comes down to it's just brotherly/sisterly love.

Stitches are out!!

After two trips to Max Care and waiting 90 minutes, stitches are finally out!!!
Hayley's toe is healing nicely, still will be about 6-9 months before we know what the scar will look like. I  am not that worried, its just a toe!!!  Looking at it, it kinda looks nasty because of the scabs  but so much better then it did 18 days ago.

Bridal Tea

It was Tea Party day....the day that Hayley and the rest of us chicks, have been waiting for since Erin got engaged. If you haven't figured out yet, my side of the family  is HUGE on traditions and I am so thankful and love that about them.  The tradition of the Bridal Tea party was started when Jennifer (Ju-Ju) (the first cousin to get married) got married and has continued ever since.

The bride to be enjoying a Mimosa
The great grand daughters enjoyed some playtime while brunch was cooking
Samantha, Macy, Bree, Lola, Charlotte, Hayley

The tables were beautifully set, complete with our tea cups! Brunch was wonderful (omelet roll up, coffee cake, french toast, muffins and fruit) and enjoyed by all! I wish I had taken picture of the layout. It was nice to be able to sit and catch up with the cousins, we always have something to talk and laugh about. Again an advantage with having a large family.

Erin decided to get all sentimental on us and write a beautiful letter to all the hens/chicks. Guess she was trying to get all her emotions out before the wedding. Doesn't matter because we are a family of emotional women and there will be lots of happy tears on her wedding day. After she got us all emotional, we had to move on to presents. Yes, we had to pass everything to see, smell, touch it all--that's just how we roll!

Lola, Hayley and Bree

This is your warning: Picture overload from here on out. When you have such a large family there are always lots of picture taking going on. You can blame this on GG--she started it...so thankful that I got her "obsessive picture taking gene." Guess we are just getting ready for October!!

Can't wait until the big day...October 22 can't get here soon enough~ 2 months from today!

Couple Shower

Saturday night was the traditional Couple Shower given by the Hen's. I can't believe that its already wedding shower time for Erin and Brian, the big day is approaching fast! So excited that our family is growing and I get another brother in law!! The kids are excited that get another Uncle to wrestle and drive crazy!!

My  (little/big) sister and me
I was SUPER excited that Brian got to attend with me. We have had some nasty storms and we haven't seen much of him this last week. The weather was calling for more storms tonight so he didn't think that he could get the day off (YES he was going to use a vacation day for this..see he really does love you Erin!!) but we got a call about 2 hours before I was planning on leaving that he could be off!  Thankful that we got to spend some quality time together, even if was in the car to and from.

Amy showed up wearing the same. exact. clothes. as me. I mean if I didn't live over an hour away I would of gone home and changed. It was too funny, guess that what happens when you love Target! We were pretty cute if I do say so myself!!

I had every intention on taking lots of picture (shocker, I know) but I didn't. Guess I was too engrossed in corn hole, food  and adult conversations

Trying to get (my) Brian to take pictures is like pulling teeth, he HATES it. In all the pictures that we have with Mom and Dad he is always trying to hide behind someone or something. Mom forewarned him that he WAS going to get his picture taken and LIKE it...she was pressing her luck!

Erin and Brian got lots of goodies, I was watching to see what I wanted to to put on my Christmas List

Cindy worked on her bouquet (made from all the bows off presents) for the rehearsal. There are still 2 more showers this month so  it will be pretty full when its all done!
