Sunday Evening Ride

Sunday evening Brian and I decided that it was such a nice day we should go riding. Hunter was staying at Pop and Nana's (see next entry) so it was just Hayley and us,  and he hasn't been up to Mimi's to see her ride yet.  She was so excited when we told her we were going riding!! I think that Mimi has made a BIG mistake letting us ride whenever we want, the kids would ride daily if we let them.
I rode Max and Brian and Hayley rode Toby--I had to laugh because Hayley kept calling the buddy saddle, the buddy bat seat...can you tell we go to the Bats game often??? Mimi was helping put the seat on, Hayley thought she was the stuff to have her own seat--it's the little things in life!!

We headed down the road towards Todd's cabin--it was a good 2 mile ride...so peaceful and relaxing!! The horses did wonderful and Hayley was keeping us entertained with her talking, I don't think that girl ever stopped. She was full of information and was quick to let Brian know when she wanted to gallop, or turn--little Ms. Bossy.
I rode behind most of the time, just to make sure that all was OK. It was so sweet watching her and Brian
Toby started acting a little crazy right before Mimi's house on the way back. Brian was scared that he was going to throw Hayley off, she came and rode with me. It's not all that comfortable sharing a saddle with someone else, especially when she was making Max gallop==she thought it was funny.  Good thing she is so stinking cute, or else....  I let her ride from Mimi's front yard to the barn and I could see her head swelling..she is really doing good with her confidence in and on the horse. She had no problem leading/steering etc. Max.  It's hard to believe that this is only our second time riding, looks like the riding lessons from Christmas finally paid off!!

Brian doesn't know it yet, but he better be on the lookout for some horses--heck with the cows!!
