VBS-- Day 1

Well, Howdy Y'all, welcome to "Saddle Ridge Ranch!" we are so excited that you can join us on our  awesome adventure that we call Vacation Bible School! Hope you are ready for a fun week, filled with lots neat Bible Stories, games, singing, dancing, crafts, and  food... are you ready to learn?? So pull on your boots, grab your hat, saddle up your horse, and enjoy the ride!!!! YEE HAW!!!

You guessed it, VBS started and we had a great time on the ranch, there were so many cowboys and cowgirls who joined us this year--the whole middle section was FULL!!

Hayley was very excited when Savannah showed up, they were in the same class this past year!

It's my second year of not doing the 2 & 3's, I am doing the 4 & 5's and I LOVE IT!! Kinda missed not being with the kids (had one who started to cry because I was not going to be with her and had been for the past 3 years)  that I have every Sunday and Wednesday, but the break is much needed. Diana and her army of helpers are doing a wonderful job!!

Each night we start by parading into the sanctuary, saying the pledge to the Bible, American and Christian flags. It's such a BIG deal to these kids to get the honor of carring one of these and tonight both Hunter and Hayley were asked!!

When all the "official business" was taken care of we headed downstairs to our classrooms! This is half the fun of Bible School, decorating your room--the kids LOVE it!!

Thanks to the Spencer County Summer Feeding Program, our kiddos get dinner each night FREE OF CHARGE!!! It's such an awesome program and we are so very thankful that we get to be part of it!! Tonight's dinner was turkey/cheese sandwich, carrots/dip, grape applesauce, Frito's and milk...all out of a sack, the kids love the fact that they get their meals out of sack. Guess its the little things in life!!

Our story tonight was about Adam/Eve and creation, our kiddos were are smart, they were telling us the story! Guess they are learning in Sunday School and Team Kids, sometimes I wonder if they actually take anything in. All 18 of them could answer questions--us teachers were so PROUD!!

We made cowgirl/boy hats for our craft tonight. Kids seemed to really have fun with this and can't wait to wear them tomorrow!!
