Eye check up

Hunter had his back to school eye exam with Dr Franklin on Monday. He is such a good Doctor and is all about explaining this in lay man terms to Hunter and really directing his exams to him rather then Brian and I.

Brian usually doesn't go to Dr appointments with me, well since I am "broken" like Hunter says he is my driver and was luck enough to accompany us. Brian HATES Dr offices, waiting and is the most impatient person ever--he is a WETHINGTON!!

Going stir crazy while we waited for Hunter's eyes to dilate!

We had another extensive and detailed exam

All in all, Hunter eyes have changed since the last 6 months we were seen. He is becoming less near sided, still is EXTREMELY near sided but his stigmatism is becoming worse. This could be cause by lots of reasons and we are working on ruling them out one by one. He is at the age of puberty so we are hoping that is the cause and will recheck in 6 months.

With his glasses on Hunter is seeing 20/25 and 20/20. This is awesome because we never thought when he was first diagnosed that he would ever see that well. Dr Franklin did tell us that he would be a good candidate for a cornea replacement in his 30's and possible PKR/Lasik's!! He was super excited about this as well.

His new prescription is
OD +300 +3.25 078
OS +4.50 +1.75 102
were making progress!!

Hunter was excited to pick out new lenses and frames, crazy boy picked out ones that are very similar to the ones he has now. Just another step closer to him growing up
