GG Birthday

GG celebrated her 87 birthday Tuesday, yes you read this right....87!!!! I had called her last Friday to see when we could come play and after looking at her busy calendar we finally got a spot that would work.  I sware, she is the busiest lady that is alive--she has more of a social life then any teenager I know.  Between her hair apt, exercise class (3x a week), volunteering, working at the museum and attending the many endless events of her Grand kids and Great Grand kids that woman is NEVER. HOME. she is defiantly living life to the fullest.

The kids and I had made plans to come over and take her to lunch, on the way we called Aunt Erin to see if she wanted to join and she did. It was no time before Hayley had gotten into the toy closet and gotten out the barbies and started to play. These are the same barbies that we used to play with--LOVE IT!!!

It was so nice to be able to catch up

and get some good lovin'
(not a very good picture, I blame it on Erin!)

She decided that she wanted to eat at Olive Garden...(good choice, GG!) and it was delicious!! We all ate and ate til we were miserable. Our conversation over lunch was awesome, we talked about how blessed our family is...this is what we figured up:

Gramps is 88 (will be 89 in September)
GG is 87
GG and Gramps will be married 67 years in July
10 kids (all still alive)
25 grand kids: the youngest is 16 and the oldest is 40
8 of the grand kids are yet to marry (1 is engaged and will marry next year)
24 Great Grand kids (with 2 more on the way!!)
This is a total of 84 people and GROWING
Kinda crazy to think that all of this started because 2 people fell in love--

Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday dear GG
Happy Birthday to you!

We are so blessed to have you in our lives, you are the perfect example of what endless love, constant prayer and sacrifice looks like. You are the most selfless and giving woman I know. The fact that the you can rattle off each of our birthday and keep us all straight amazes me! So thankful for the moral and values that you  raised your kids on and that have been passed on from the Hens to Chicks! You definitely are the most beautiful woman I know. I LOVE YOU
