Gatlinburg Get Away--Day 1

It was finally time for our Gatlinburg Get Away and we were super pumped about it, bring on the long weekend!! The kids and I met the Forberger's in Waddy and we were on the road. Blue skies, Ipod, kids on their DS we were set for our drive. I  was thankful we beautiful weather since Brian was staying back until after Pa's heart cath and driving down late Friday night!

Once we got to Pigeon Forge and check in, we had a time to kill before we could get access to our cabin so we decided that it was a perfect day for a picnic lunch. Yep, right in the parking lot--we were starving and had food so it was a win-win situation for all!!

We arrived at our cabin and couldn't wait to check it out, we were going to live it up Bayou Billionaire style this weekend! It was beautiful, huge and had an indoor pool in the basement--SCORE!!! Let the weekend of relaxing and nothing but fun begin.

First Floor:
(Mary and Jimmy's bedroom)
Kitchen, Living room, Balcony w/grill, Bedroom w/ Jacuzzi tub in room and  full bath

Second Floor:
Our bedroom
Living room, pool table, balcony with hot tub, arcade game,  bedroom w/Jacuzzi tub in room and full bath
3rd floor
Kids bed rooms
2 bedrooms (just like ours), balcony, air hockey tables and 2 futons

I had to laugh because the girls were running all over the place checking it all out, this is as far as Hunter made it! He was in 7th heaven!! It was vacation so I didn' fuss about him being on this all the time.
Hayley had made a request for Cheesy Potatoes so Mary let her help make them. This is our request anytime we have the Forbergers over--cheese potatoes--they are yummy!!
and it wouldn't be right if Mary showed up without her LIT
While Mary and I unpacked and got settled the kids took advantage of the pool and hot tub, it was so nice that they entertained each other while we were busy.
We decided that tonight was going to be hang out at the cabin and relax night. Its been forever since we both haven't HAD anything to do on a Friday night and we took full advantage of being lazy and relaxing. We made a delicious dinner: steaks, pork chops, green beans, cheese potatoes, and salad.

After dinner it was more video games and  swimming for the kids, while us adults hit the hot tub with a nice glass of wine! I could get used to this, only thing that would make it better would be having my hubby by my side. It was great to relax while passing time waiting for Brian to get there!!

Paige and  Peyton LOVE to spoil Hayley to death, its like she is the little sister they never had! They had planned way back to do her make up and hair. Brian kept teasing Hayley saying that he was going to ground her if this happened. Good thing he wasn't here yet!!

I have never laughed so hard in my life. This is how Hayley came out to hot tub--she was my mini me (minus the make up) or Snooky as she said. After I got done laughing, I HAD to take a picture and send it to Brian--he thought it was funny and harassed them all when we got here!

Brian finally arrived about 10:30, he was worn out and excited all at the same time! This is where the quiet ends, he had to get the kids all hyper and wound up, it was good to see him like that--these past 2 days have been very stressful with Pa. We just ended up watching some TV and chatting with the adults before bed.  We went to check on the kids and this is what we found, poor things were worn out from all the fun!
