First swim of summer

Friday, we headed to Terri's for our first swim of the summer. It was the perfect day...sunshine, music, pool, kids, drinks and bestie time. Oh, how I love and missed summertime!!!

Kids were being silly posing before their 1st jump in

when did she get so big???
I took awhile for Hunter to get used to the water, said it was a little cool. That only lasted 10 minutes!

Hayley said we looked cute and needed our picture taken.

If the kids jumped in 1 time, they did 10,000

LOVE THIS PICTURE

Loved our afternoon together, Hayley was out in no time!!

Picnic at the Park

Wednesday was the perfect day for a picnic at the park with Oedy's!!  I just LOVE summer and the play dates that we are still able to have with each other. I grabbed a bucket of KFC and we hit the park for some fun in the sun!!

Clayton loves his chicken legs

Sweet Ava Joy!
On field day my kids had an obstacle course as a station, they thought that was so neat. I made up one and the kids had a blast doing it and then took turns making their own. This easily entertained them for a good while!!

Hayley and Lana were making some beautiful music!

My kids love to swing and to push all the younger kids on the swings, its a win-win situation

My little monkey

This picture cracks me up---Poor Nathan and his facial expressions! He is Josh Oedy made over--good thing that I love him so much!!

Thankful that summer is FINALLY here and we have another year to play together with wonderful friends.

How does your garden grow?

Our garden has been doing wonderfully and is growing big and tall. I have to admit that I have forgot to water it some nights, I blame it on playing too much--but that hasn't hurt it yet. I snapped these pictures right before we went to water and pull weeds, excuse the hard ground..

broccoli, corn and onions

green beans

Green peppers are starting to bloom
squash
Tomatoes are starting to form
And tonight we ate this......

fresh broccoli from our garden that was super delicious!!!

My mouth waters at the thought of all the fresh veggies we will  have if the Good Lord is willing (and I don't forget to water)

Sleepover

Clayton came and stayed the night with us Tuesday, it was much over due! We had so much fun and I enjoyed spoiling him every second, that is what a "Jessie" does, right?! Hard to believe that he will be starting school this year, breaks my heart!

He asked to feed the cows, (that was our routine each morning,

McDonald's for dinner,

to jump and play Bey blades

and DS before bedtime!!

Brian wanted to get ice cream before we took him home on Wednesday night---Yup, he loves to sugar and spoil him rotten just as much as I do!

TS Performance-- Day 2

We started our day off with breakfast

and then a little swimming.
I mean, that's how everyone starts their day off, isn't it?!

We packed the truck and headed to Franklin, for Day 2 of the show. Today, was the Dyno and Sled Pull--what the boys were really looking forward to.

Once again there were trucks as far as the eye could see.....

Look at that attitude....8 going on 18

We made our way to the Dyno and waited for Shaggy (Brian's friend from work) to get his trucked entered. I had to be explained how this works and the point of this several times, I am not really sure that I understand it to this day. This is where you put your truck on a machine (Dyno machine) and it tells you how much HP and Torq you have. All I know, there were some nice trucks, lots of noise and  black smoke and lots of it-

Shaggy showing Brian and the kids all his fun stuff on his truck

Shaggy on the Dyno--he got something like 600 HP (he was mad--its wasn't enough)

me and my favorite girl

the boys were in awe......

We headed back to the truck to grill out lunch--hot dogs and chips---my kids were excited, I am starting to think they could live on this if we would let them!

I would love to know what he was thinking.....

Loved all the little names of the pulling trucks. Hunter said this is what I need on my car--he cracks me up, just like his Daddy

I cherished the little moments that I get to share and snuggle with my baby boy. Hard to believe that he is 10--breaks his Mommas heart, time needs to slow down!

The sled pull was amazingly organized--there were 2 lines and as soon as one finished, the other lane started. It was non stop entertainment and the kids loved it!!

My babies...

It was an awesome weekend with the family and a nice little get away--Hunter is already making plans for just the "boys" to go down next year--guess I won't complain, its precious memories and quality time for us both.

Hayley's View

Hayley is always wanting to blog and begs for her own blog--guess, I am rubbing off on her! When I got my new camera, she got my old one and thinks that is the best. thing. ever.   She LOVES to take pictures ( there were over 20 self portrait pictures-I limited her to 1 on  here) and begged for her own post so here it is. From this point on is all Hayley, pictures and captions
