Taylorsville State Park has some nice trails that Mimi and I wanted to try out before we took the kids here to make sure they are kid friendly. We headed out on there trails Saturday morning about 9:30 and rode until 2:30. It was a little chilly in the morning but warmed up nicely, I wore jeans and a hoodie and gloves--not cold at all.
We found some water and deiced that the horses (us) needed (wanted) to go play. It was fun, the horses LOVED the water and kept splashing like little kids. I can't wait until summer when we can take the kids, they will think it's a blast. I wanted to take more pictures, but was afraid to have my phone on the horse and in the water, so these will have to do! Good thing too, as soon as I put in on the ledge, Max decided that he wanted to go deeper, we were in water up to his belly!!
Trails are very nice, lots of them going in all directions around Lake. We decided that we are not comfortable turning kids out on them by themselves just yet, for the main reason of other people horses. Definitely going to go riding with kids on the buddy saddles!!
our horses were a little muddy after playing in the water but they didn't mind!
Sunday after church and lunch we headed up to Mimi's to ride once again. We needed to ride Lighting so see how he'd act so that was Brian's job! He hasn't been rode since last year. He did fine, doesn't like puddles but we aim to break him of that! *It's nearly impossible to get some good pictures when riding*

We had a good ride, rode all the way back Mud Road, horses were nice and tired when we got back to the barn. Looking forward to this weekend when we can saddle up again with my cowboy and cowgirl!
