Happy Birthday Brian

Today is Brian's 29th birthday and the kids wanted to do something super special from him. Usually we get all the Wethington's together for lunch/dinner and cake, but since Brian has been on mandatory 16 hour days, and sick, it was not going to happen. But the kids his birthday all planned out anyways--and needed little help from me!

First we made a cake:

Then we made decorations:

Hunter wanted to make signs and put them in his truck and down the road. It was going to be a "go" before it started raining ice and we were afraid Brian wouldn't be able to see them. Instead the kids had fun putting them up around the house in some of his favorite places.

Just can't wait

Hunter and Hayley just couldn't stand the wait any longer, so we gave in and let them open one present as we were on the way out the door on Christmas Eve.

Christmas with the Farnsley's

Drove out to Uncle Steve's house to celebrate Christmas with some of the Farnsley's. Aunt Brenda and her gang, Aunt Betsy, Granny and Daniel were not in town this year. We had a great time and shared lots of laughter as always. Dinner was great and we were very impressed with Uncle Doug's cooking--the turkey was a little dry though--(sorry Doug, we couldn't resist)
Hayley had a great time having Casey all to herself, as Hunter did Doug--guess they just got spoiled at Thanksgiving!

Christmas with Pop and Nana

We stopped by Pop and Nana's for presents and a delicious brunch--biscuits, gravy, fruit, back and sausage balls! Nana is a wonderful cook and we love to eat her food!!!
