Spencer County Fair

Brian and the kids went to the Fair while I had a babyshower. I love the fact that the sends me pictures when I am gone, makes me feel a little sad that Im not with them. I am so blessed to have such an awesome hubby who takes time to do special things with them.

Cousin Fun

Unc (Bradley) and Angela had to go back to NC to meet the packers and tie up all the loose ends so their move back to KY could be final!!! We got to keep Luke and Faith from Tuesday night thru Thursday afternoon, it was lots of chaos but so much fun getting some good ole cousin play time, snuggling and and spoiling in!! The best part of being an Aunt, you do all this and then send them home!!

Luke was super excited to head to the barn to see and feed the cows, Faith not too much! I love this picture, she was making sure that they weren't going to get her!

Successful signs of worn out kids....

We woke up and headed outside and got lots of fun play time in. The kids were running all around and the squeals and laughter was priceless!

We headed in side for lunch and a little rest time before dinner and church.
Everyone had to have baths, we were a hot, sticky mess from playing outside. It was a chore getting 4 kids fed, bathed and dressed...I made it and was so glad that I stopped at 2~
Hayley had to have her hair like Faith's---pig tales
A little dancing before we left...these girls are a mess!
Since Brian has been working lots and crazy hours, he didn't get to see or spend much time with the kids. Thursday morning he called and asked if we could meet him at CHUCK E CHEESE!! I tell you he LOVES that place and is the biggest kid around.

LOVE how she is watching Hunter. She was always saying his name or going to find him if he snuck off. It was so precious

We are so blessed that we were able to help our with the kids. I know that at times it was crazy and wild but it was so worth it in the end. Looking forward to this being the first of many cousin sleepover/play dates now that you guys are home....just wish it would be forever! LOVE YOU

Allergy Re-testing

It's been a L-O-N-G 10 days of no medicine and pretty much house arrest! With the weather being so ungodly hot and the heat index 100+, we haven't done very much because of Hayley.  It's been kinda nice to have some fun family time inside, we watched lots of movies, cleaned closets, made our school list, read books, and played the Wii! But the day finally came that we had been waiting for: allergy retesting and her lung function test!

Day 2 of no meds!

Hayley is such a tough girl and has been this way ever since she was little. Good thing, because she has been poked, prodded, shot, x-ray, scanned, operated, looked at and tested from the day she was born. We now laugh because she could honestly teach half of the people in the medical field how to do things. She now knows her complete health history from hearing it so much and gets a kick out of answering the questions from the doctors and nurses.

I didn't get any pictures of her doing the lung function test, I was still working on her school forms, but she did so very well on this. Outta the 4 times that she took it, she scored 70% each time. That is better then last time when she averaged a 55%!! We will gladly take this!! We are going to try weaning off Singular after Fall allergy season.

She had not been allergy tested since she was 18 months and they like to redo this every 5 years to update and rework her injections. We have talked lots about what they are going to be doing since she doesn't remember the first time at all--thank God!!!

Hayley after getting all marked up
I got to have her sit in my lap while they were doing her "pricks" She didn't flinch one. single. time. Brave and strong girl!! She was chatting it up with the nurse and couldn't wait to see her back after she was done. We did a total of 6 rows on her back and the test took 30 minutes--they checked her every 5 minutes.

Allergy wise she is still severely allergic to everything but has made lots of progress from High to Moderate (Thank you, Jesus!)

This was the first picture after 3 minutes of being injected. I was amazed at how much of a difference there was already....last time she was so much worse by this time.  On the bottom right is her "newest" allergy....HORSES. If you only knew the melt down that accompanied this because of her horse.

Next we were on to the foods. She has started to complain of certain foods making her "feel funny" and upsetting her stomach. Since she has a huge reaction to peanuts/tree nuts (Epi-pen) we wanted to check the 10 main foods: milk, soy, eggs, tree nuts, chocolate, wheat, shellfish, egg, fish mix and sesame seed

We knew that she was allergic to tree nuts/peanuts, milk ( more lactose intolerant), and eggs. She ended up with 4 new food allergies: sesame seed, soy, chocolate and wheat. YES we had another melt down because of CHOCOLATE--mainly because of no Oreos or chocolate chip cookies! (she is SO my daughter!!)

It could of been a lot worse and we are so thankful for the progress that has been made. We will take our allergies any day over the medical problems that we could have.  Shots will being in two weeks when her new viles arrive.

Popsicle Fun

You know that you are in the dog days of summer when you get a Popsicle and its melts just as fast as you try to eat it. I was laughing so hard at the kids and constantly licking and rotating Popsicles that I couldn't take many pictures. The kids thought that it was the best thing ever!

Hunter Kneeboarding

Farnsley's Dinner

Granny was in town and it's Grandpa Farnsley's birthday next week so we headed to Tumbleweed on the River to celebrate. It's a little crazy when you get all of us together and I am too busy playing with the kids to take any pictures. All of these were taken prior to our food arriving, it helped entertain Luke and Faith. What ever did we do before cell phones?! I didn't even get a picture of the birthday boy--he was glad! Happy Birthday Grandpa Farnsley!

Pizza and Swim

We took advantage of Aunt Angela having a pool at her temporary housing and went over for pizza and swimming. LOVE the fact that the kids are now getting to spend lots of time together since they have moved back home!!! It's so nice getting to spoil and make up lost time.
