Yep, that's right, no more VT. Hunter is done, complete and gets to graduate!!!! This is much welcomed, unexpected surprise news, that we are celebrating in shock. Hunter had an evaluation 4 weeks ago and did wonderfully but after meeting with Dr. Bowersox then he still wasn't happy with things. We have gained leaps and bounds, but being a perfectionist that Dr B is, tweaked his VT lesson plans and wanted to see us back in a month. Tuesday, we went for our consult and the tweaking has paid off, HUNTER IS DONE!!! I know that I screamed and cheered when he said the words that are music to my ears "We have met our goal and I think you're done" Hunter, on the other hand, just sat there shocked--we have had our share of disappointments with wanting to be done for months now and weren't.
Numbers and percentages we were over, but I was on cloud 9 and didn't write anything down-I know bad Mommy. I will promise to post these when we go for our Graduation Ceremony. It's been a long and hard journey to get to this bittersweet place and we are so very thankful!
1 surgery, 4 Doctors, 9 years of patching 3 hours a day, Ambli.net program, 10 months of VT sessions (60 @ 90 minutes each), 120 hours a month of VT homework, countless hours of Dr's visits and prescription changes= Thousands of dollars but seeing all Hunters hard work pay off...PRICELESS!!
