5th grade basketball game

Today was the 5th grade basketball game against the teachers. I was on bedrest (BOO) and couldn't go, thankful that I have awesome co workers who was constantly texting me and giving me play by play updates! Hated that I had to miss but I decided to miss this so that I can go to graduation tomorrow!!

What a way to start summer..

You know those freak accidents that you hear about and think "how in the world did that happen?" Well, let me tell you, they do happen and YES they are freak accidents. Saturday was proof of that. Brian and I had went out to spray the weeds, we had just finished doing inside the cow pen and was coming back to do the back side of the barn. I wasn't paying attention and stepped right in front of the tractor tire and it ran over the back side of my leg, up to my calf. It hurt like HELL!!!
After dropping to the ground and getting myself in some sort of order, Brian carried me into the house so that I could take off my boot to see the damage and get ice on it. It was pretty swollen and we decided that a trip to Suburban was needed.

The swelling wasn't too bad but by the time that we got to the ER is was nasty and huge

The verdict at the hospital was that I broke right ankle in 2 different spots. I broke the fibula, the bone that connects your ankle to your leg and the ankle itself. I go big or I go home!!

No driving, walking, standing or weight can be on this foot at all for 8 weeks!!

This was taken today at the foot and ankle specialist, still very swollen. After talking to Dr Patel, he decided that I needed to see a trauma orthopedic specialist because I would need plates, pins and screws on both sections. I am waiting to hear back from the specialist to see when this will take place.

Looks like I will have a summer of being confined to the couch/chair with my ice packs. Not the idea of how my summer was going to be spent. I am trying to keep positive and not think of how many more days I have. Its a day by day goal to survive and not kill anyone.

Hayley has been quiet the little nurse, helping me with getting ice packs, washing my hair, dressing, meds, drinks, you name it. She thinks its funny that she is the one who has to help take care of me!

God love  Brian, he knows the way to my heart....
my weakness, my love, OREO's

we shall see how things go, this is about to get real interesting

Lunch with Keegan

This year has been super crazy busy and I finally had a day where I could get to eat lunch with Keegan.

Hayley was freaked out by this statue and the fact that the baby was giving her the "UL sign"

Patiently waiting for Keegan

Laundry??

This is what I found today when I was putting laundry away...
Love the "little girl" that Hayley still has left in her. She's growing up way too much.

Garden

The deer eat our garden ever yet, not this year!! We planted them in 5 gallon buckets so that we can move them around. We shall see if our redneck garden works out.

Push ups

Only my child would do push-ups on a gooseneck.  (Her form isn't all that bad for a 9 year old!) Maybe I should take lessons or a hint....

a girl and her ribs

Hayley was more then excited to finally have her ribs!

This girl can eat her weight in them, must get it from the Fisher side.

This was her 2nd plate...6 ribs in total

Hunter wasn't a big fan, to messy!!

Poor gal had ribs from head to toe. I guess it was worth it.

Bus stop fun

It was a beautiful morning Friday and the kids and were being silly waiting for the bus.  Love this picture and hate it all the same, my babies are SO big

1st mowing!

Hunter has been begging to mow the grass for a while now and I just wouldn't have any part of it. I am OCD about my grass looking a certain way and LOVE to push mow it...it relaxes so much when I mow. Well, tonight I bit the bullet and let him mow.

He did an AWESOME job and the yard looks beautiful!!!! I didn't even go back over the spots he missed (this is HUGE for me!) I don't know who was more proud, Hunter or me. I do have to admit that I was an emotional mess watching him do this. Where has my baby boy gone?!

New Talent?

Yes, my daughter has discovered her newest talent...
fitting a JUMBO marshmallow in her mouth.

NEVER a dull moment with her around

Mothers Day

I had the best Mother's Day ever, my kiddos sang in church,

home made cards,

a relaxing afternoon,

shopping at Home Depot,

and dinner at Cheddars.

So thankful that I was chosen to be a Mother to two amazing kids!

Passing time

Brian told us that there was nothing that we could do while they were dozing. Hayley and I had the supervision role down to perfection while watching but, get bored watching them work. We HAD to entertain ourselves, you know supervision is hard work.

Br

LOVE this crazy girl who fills my day with so much laughter

Dozing Day 2

Things are starting to look different....
