Visit with Dawson

A little background: Dawson is a 10 year old in Hunter's class (5th grade) who was diagnosed with DIPG ( a tumor on his brain stem)  on July 17, 2012. After many treatments and medicines his body is not reacting like they were hoping. You can follow him on FB at DO IT FOR DAWSON MOORE. if he reaches 2000 likes, he Daddy has agreed that he would let Dawson draw on his face. Its something that Dawson is looking forward to.

Thursday, we stopped by to see Dawson after school. I was so glad that we caught him on a good day, bless his heart, he's been having a hard time lately. Don't let him fool you, he may be sick, but had not lost his sense of humor! Hunter and Dawson were talking about their girlfriends and Dawson wanted to know what McKenzie's pet name is. I fell over laughing.....crazy boys!

Dawson is having a slight problem with his speech and sometimes its hard to understand him. No fear, they pulled out their ipods/ipads and were communicating that way. It honestly brought a tear to my eye, so sweet and thoughtful. He is bound and determined not to let this Cancer rob him of anything else, its taken too much from him already.  No matter what, all the kids always pick up right where they left off with him, they haven't treated him any differently since he was diagnosed. I can't tell you how proud I am of the kids at school and my own!

Dawson thought it was funny to draw a picture of Hunter, it really looked just like him. I wish this picture turned out better.

These crazy boys have already planned a "date" with their girlfriends to Olive Garden as soon as he feels up to getting out and about. No worries, I was told us Mommas have to have our own table.

Please continue to pray for Dawson and his family. They have been faced with lots of medical decisions lately and are putting it all in God's hands. Looking forward to our Fun Night with you soon. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers--Ill be over soon enough to kiss on you again
