Meet Cutie Pie

We finally found Hayley a female beagle puppy, she was more then excited to find her in the barn after church.  Her name, Cutie Pie, just stuck as soon as she said it. Needless to say, she is head over heels in love with her.

All by myself....

Those three words are enough to make me break out in a cold sweat, heart palpitations and blood pressure rise. I am having to learn the hard way (turning my head and staying away) that the kids are now old enough to do their own projects. Yes, I suffer from OCD!! Thankfully, they have not asked for my help (I think they are scared and know that I will make them re-do it) and have done a wonder job of completing the task at hand.

Hayley had a 4H demonstration speech that was due last week, it really took all my will power not to help her--she had  it all laid out in her "sloppy copy" and her game plan set. Bless her heart, she worked on this for 3 days straight!! If ever I wanted a sign/button/sticker to put on it and say "I completed this all by myself, it was then!"
I was very proud that she completed her project and all by herself--it was......very colorful....
As the kids are getting older its harder to let them go, guess its just because I know they are growing up (tear). They are already growing up too fast, slow time down, PLEASE!

Random Funnies

March 24
Love my sister, Erin and that we are the family divided

Me: "what are they (IU) playing like?
Erin: "like UK when they played Robert Morris!"

So funny but true! Thanks for not screwing up my brackets.

Fixin lunch and Hayley is quizzing me for midterms...

Hayley: "In my experiments, I have rats running through mazes?"
Me: "Skinner"
Hayley: "Like Lynyrd?"
Me: "Not quite, that's Skynyrd!"
Hayley: "Oh! I think that I should get bonus points for even knowing who that is!"

There's no hope!

March 21
Going over states and capitols with Hunter for quiz tomorrow:

Me: "Montana"
Hayley: "Hannah"
Hunter: "No, Helena"
Hayley: "Is that her Momma's name?"
Hunter: "Geeze, are you that stupid?"

Sadly, she was dead serious!!

March 18
Brian giving Hayley spelling words (homophones)..priceless. He couldn't understand why he needed to use them in a sentence to differentiate them. No wonder I always do homework with the kids

Pinterest Fun

Tuesday's have ended up being our Pinterest day/night, I usually make dinner and a craft that I have pinned. This past week, Hayley and I made these super EASY and cute candles out of our orange peels. It was win-win situation, a yummy snack and craft all together.

Stitches are out!

Brian took Hayley Monday afternoon to get her stitches out. We are so thankful for no complications and scarring, she is all back to new!

Visit with Dawson

A little background: Dawson is a 10 year old in Hunter's class (5th grade) who was diagnosed with DIPG ( a tumor on his brain stem)  on July 17, 2012. After many treatments and medicines his body is not reacting like they were hoping. You can follow him on FB at DO IT FOR DAWSON MOORE. if he reaches 2000 likes, he Daddy has agreed that he would let Dawson draw on his face. Its something that Dawson is looking forward to.

Thursday, we stopped by to see Dawson after school. I was so glad that we caught him on a good day, bless his heart, he's been having a hard time lately. Don't let him fool you, he may be sick, but had not lost his sense of humor! Hunter and Dawson were talking about their girlfriends and Dawson wanted to know what McKenzie's pet name is. I fell over laughing.....crazy boys!

Dawson is having a slight problem with his speech and sometimes its hard to understand him. No fear, they pulled out their ipods/ipads and were communicating that way. It honestly brought a tear to my eye, so sweet and thoughtful. He is bound and determined not to let this Cancer rob him of anything else, its taken too much from him already.  No matter what, all the kids always pick up right where they left off with him, they haven't treated him any differently since he was diagnosed. I can't tell you how proud I am of the kids at school and my own!

Dawson thought it was funny to draw a picture of Hunter, it really looked just like him. I wish this picture turned out better.

These crazy boys have already planned a "date" with their girlfriends to Olive Garden as soon as he feels up to getting out and about. No worries, I was told us Mommas have to have our own table.

Please continue to pray for Dawson and his family. They have been faced with lots of medical decisions lately and are putting it all in God's hands. Looking forward to our Fun Night with you soon. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers--Ill be over soon enough to kiss on you again

Sweet Frog

A trip home wouldn't be complete with Sweet Frog (only because Zesto's is closed) so we headed over there after dinner.

Only an Aunt would let you hang out the sun roof of her car.
(Don't worry, its was parked)

Ms. Thang and her yogurt that was totally covered with lots of candy

Mr LL Cool Jay was embarrassed to sit with us

Love my sisters

It was safe to say that we were in a food coma when we left town and headed home, wouldn't have it any other way

Konsi

What a better way to end our Saturday then with Konsi, Hayley and I  could eat there everyday. Hunter is my picky eater--some veggies, limited fruit, no sauce- he is his Daddy made over. McKenzie had told him that they are going on a "date" to Shogun, so this was perfect timing to get him a taste of the food!

Aunt Erin ordered a California Roll and Hayley was dying to try it. At first she wasn't too sure of it   but she ate it. Think its safe to say that we won't have to order any of these next time!

Hunter was the only one who didn't want soup, salad or rice,  I was OK with that because it meant lunch for me the next day!

The kids and Daddy were more then entertained by our cook, he interacted nicely with the kids.

No fear, he ate chicken and nothing else!

On the other hand, I had Chicken  and veggies

Hayley was SO excited to eat with chopsticks

Isn't he just the most adorable thing ever?!

So thankful that we could take time out of our weekend to have a fun dinner with the family.
