Cross Country Meet #2

Hunter had his 2nd XC meet on 9/26 and it was the second time he had run this course. He said its a pretty easy run, lots of space and the hills aren't too bad. I enjoy this one, because I can see him start, make it to the top of the hill and see him go into the 2nd turn and get back to see him finish. I have to start running more because I am worn out by the end of the meet trying to keep up with him!

SO PROUD

Hunter knocked 15 seconds off time last week, he was super excited. I am looking forward to seeing how he does at the Hillbilly Run in a couple weeks.

Conversations.....

I love that my kids are constantly keeping me laughing with their conversations and questions. I often wonder if I am getting "Punked" because something that I hear them say literally have me shaking my head and laughing to the point of crying.  Blessed that there is never a dull moment in our lives and for the laughter at the much needed times they bring.

Sept 18th
Tonights conversation: (as we were banding cows)

Hayley: "Momma, why are you holding the cows tail like that?"
Me: "So it doesn't kick Daddy in while he's banding him."
Hayley: "Oh! Is that what they did to Daddy?"
Me: "No, your Daddy isnt a cow." (dying laughing)
Hunter: "Duh, Momma couldn't make him stand in the head shoot, so she took him to the doctors office."

Oh, the teachable life moments and convesations that come from living on a farm!

Sept 25
Today's breakfast conversation:

Hunter: "I know what I want for Christmas."
Me: "Oh, really?! And what's that?"
Hunter: "My own cell phone with FaceTime"
Me: (laughing hysterically) "Ummm. No!! You are too young for a cell phone"
Hunter: "No, I am not"
Me: "And just why do you think you need one?"
Hunter: "So I can call my girlfriend and see her on FaceTime."
Me: "You are too young for all that craziness"
Hunter: "I liked it better when I thought Santa was real, he ALWAYS got me what I asked for."
Me: speechless.

October 7th
Hunter: "Momma, I am too old to dress up for Trick or Treating, how about you just by me a bag of my own candy"
Me: "Sounds good"
*growing up too fast, where did my baby boy go?

Insanity

I went out to water and couldn't find Hayley. Looked in garage and this is what I saw....

She was doing Insanity!

Face Time

Amy and Momma got Iphones last week and we are super excited that they have joined the madness!! Honestly, we are really excited that we can now Facetime with them!! It's going to be so nice to actually see them when we call them. One of the many small things that I am thankufl for since we live so far away from them.

Mommy and Me Bunco

The middle school dance team hosted a "Mommy and Me" bunco night as a fundraiser. I thought that this would be something fun to do with Hayley and we were signed up. She was so stinking cute and excited to have some quality time without the boys.

After school we headed to El Nopal for some Yumm-o dinner

There was all kinds of yumm-o snack type foods, we ate plenty

Hayley loved rolling the dice, she was actually pretty good at it once she got the hang. I was thinking that this could be a fun math lesson, wonder if we could get it to pass?

That's my girl, getting her first BUNCO!! She was more excited that she got to scream and yell then anything!!

getting her card punched for winning and bunco was a quick highlight of the evening
.
They even had door prizes, guess who one...

she chose "real diamond" earring and a necklace. Guess I have trained her well.

This was such a fun evening and I am so thankful we came. Praying that as she gets older we can still have our Mommy and Me time.

We're alive

Life has been wild and crazy lately, hardly know if we are coming and going! I have lots to blog about but it has honesltly been the last thing on my mind. After working all day, practices, meets, dinner, and homework, all I want to do is go to bed when the kids go. I have lots of pictures uploaded and will apologize that they may not be in date order, goign to try and get them that way, but am making no promises

Cross Country Meet #1

Hunter has his 1st cross country meet on the 19th  in Frankfort. I really didn't know what all to expect since this is a "new" sport for us. My sister, Amy, ran in high school but I don't remember going to her meets. I can't even begin to explain how pumped and excited he was about this meet--I was nervous to the point of getting sick

Morgan call him right before he got on the bus. I really wished that I would of recorded their conversation, it was beyond sweet. Hunter received some last minute tips and was sitting high on cloud 9 the rest of the day

The weather was beautiful, sunshine and blue skies--this was a very thankful Momma considering that we were suppose to have rain all day long.

I got some last minutes snuggles and lovin' in on him before his team arrived. He was not very happy about wearing his sport glasses, but afterwards very glad he wore these running!

Brian was soaking up some extra snuggles with Hayley

Hunter ran AWESOME!! He was very proud of his time and placement. Now we know were our baseline is and can go from there.
