You know it's hot....
when this is what the cows do all day long. They move from the barn after eating to the pond and right back to the barn. The kids seemed to think it was funny and wanted to take a picture!
Silly Bands
I tell you, whoever thought of these is a super rich person right now!! Every child I know has their arms taken over by these little plastic, shape holding, bracelets
We went to church two weeks ago and that was the first I saw of them and then the next day when we went for labs--everyone I saw had them. I totally refuse to buy these (they are WAY to pricey for my pocket--3.99 for 12 bracelets) so the kids had taken some of their money and bought some and are so proud of their purchases. They love to see their friends and trade bracelets with them, I think both kiddos have like 60+ of these little things--sad thing is I am already over them!!
There are all kinds of themes: animals, movies, cars, food, cats, dogs, sports teams, etc.
Team Kids Singing
Team Kids sang for their father's on Sunday and did a wonderful job as always! I am so proud of all the hard work that each child does with the songs and it is always a blessing to see them perform, from the little ones to the older ones. I can't believe that Hayley will not be in my class again next year--she has been with me for 4 years and now is getting to move up with Hunter and the bigger kids! It's a bitter sweet feeling.

While we were in town today we stopped and swam at Grandma Boot's house (my brother in laws parents house). The water was wonderful and the kids had a blast, it was the end to a perfect day and early bedtime!!
The kids made endless trips down the slide...

Movie and Lunch
Grandma Fisher called last night and invited us to see TOY STORY 3 in 3D today with her, Aunt Amy and Keegan. It was such a cute movie and well worth the drive in town for! Since we went to the early movie we snacked on popcorn during the show and headed to Steak and Shake for a yummy lunch and shakes afterwards!

Keegan loved putting stickers on his car

Home Made Ice Cream Sandwiches
The kids love to help me in the kitchen and today was one of those days where I thought we could have some fun cooking together. On the menu today "HOME MADE ICE CREAM SANDWICHES!" It was a nice and easy project that the kids could do separately and with little to no supervision!! I gave them each 8 chocolate gram crackers, a knife, spoon and a tub of vanilla ice cream, 4 baggies, and they went at it! They had a great time and well worth the mess!!
scooping out ice cream
smoothing it all out
adding the top
scraping off leftovers
they packaged their own
Both kiddos couldn't wait to sink their teeth into one, they were pretty good but very messy!!
