Practice....

The kids had their first Easter Cantata practice on Wednesday night during Team Kids. Hard to believe that its already that time of year again, but I am super excited because that means warmer temperatures will so be blessing us. Don't forget to mark your calendars for April 17th, it will be so cute, promise!

Regional Finals

We traveled to Henry County last night to watch the Bears in the Regional Final game. It was such an awesome experience to be part of, just wish the outcome was different for the boys. Final score was Oldham County 70-Spencer County 50.  The kids were so cute to watch, cheering and sporting their Blue shirts. Not so sure that I am ready for spending our "free time" at game though, especially on a school night.
The atmosphere was something else, to see how many people from SC made the drive out was amazing.....a sea of blue! I can honestly say that has been so neat to see the community pull together and support these boys--they deserve it!
We were about 10 rows up--perfect seats
Kylee, Hayley, Mahala and Hunter
Sherwin and me

Bunco Babes:
Cydni, Sherwin and I
Connor was too cute with his District Champ Shirt
Coach Barmore let put in all the subs the last  2minutes or so of the game. I was so excited to see Alex and Darren (kids from our church) play--they did a great job!!

Thanks to the entire community; businesses, parents, students, faculty, staff, and the coaching staff. Most importantly, a huge thank you to the SCHS Varsity Boy's Basketball Team for the inspiration you have given to us. We STILL Believe!!! We look forward to the season next year. GO BEARS!!!

Grandma's Birthday

We had the Fisher side out for Grandma's birthday lunch that was oh so yummy! As always it was a good time filled with lots of laughter and love. We are so blessed that we are able to get everyone together and celebrate the crazy lazy who is responsible for starting this bunch!

While Aunt Amy and I were finishing things up, a serious game of Twister broke out!

Hayley practiced her wedding song for everyone
The boys made a dash to Hunter's room where they stayed for a good while. Uncle Brian is so good to Hunter playing those crazy video games.

Uncle Brian and Hunter stayed this way most of the afternoon
It wouldn't be official unless I had a picture with me and my favorite nephew.  One. ROTTEN. BOY!
I was super proud of Amy, she made these yumm-o cupcakes, and even shared her secret with me (mix 1/2 package of koolaid to white icing--turns the flavor of the koolaid, tart but yummy)!

Happy Birthday Grandma!

Can you tell

that Spring is in the air?  Well if you are having trouble just come on out and see what's been going on at the farm this week.  Here's your sign: Dozer was delivered and in drive this week.  Funny that for the past 3 years that we know when spring is coming because we seem to keep Dan busy!  This time we are working on the newest purchase (10 acres across from house) and getting ready to fence for the horses! It wasn't all that much that needed to be done, 2 days worth, and you can tell a huge difference. I am SO ready for a bonfire--come on dryer, calmer weather...we got a holler to set fire too!!

We took advantage of the dozer and had some huge trees hauled up to flat ground, that's next years fire wood baby!!
Brian was getting tired, poor thing had worked all night and then Dan arrived as soon as he got home. He was riding the trees up the hill so he didn't have to keep walking. Pretty smart man!
I love the fact that both Hunter and Hayley are fully entertained and content with being out and about in nature. Here they were making a teeter totter and balance beam. Its the little things in life that bring a smile to me.

Happy Saturday

Team Kids

Wednesday night we had our annual Team Kids Kick-off and it was a wild and crazy night. I am so glad that we are starting back, the kids LOVE this program and I miss my little ones (we will have 23 2-5 year old this year!!). I can't believe that Hayley will be with the "big kids" this year, seems like just yesterday she was old enough to start and now she is leaving me behind and moving on. Hunter only has 2 more years until he is in youth (gasp, tear, sniff) don't know that I like the thought of that at all! On the flip side, we have an awesome Youth Minister and lots of good programs so I feel more comfortable with that.  Can't wait to see what fun and learning adventure this year has in store for us!

addition

We started on the front addition to the barn this week and already have the 6 front poles set! Praying for some dry weather so we can get a move on this and complete the horse stalls!

wanna be?

Hunter is getting into that stage that totally drives me batty (even more then I already am) and usually doesn't want anything to do with having his picture taken. Guess being 9 is starting to catch up with him. Well, we were on the way home from therapy and allergy shots and he asked (yes, he ASKED) me to take his picture. I jumped on the chance and thanked God for a red light!! Our neighbor, Truell, wears his hat just like that...sideways and bended. Hunter thinks Truell is the coolest thing ever. We are blessed with such awesome neighbors and I am perfectly OK with him looking up to Truell as one of his role models!!
