On the fritz!

I am starting to second guess this whole blogging thing. Blogger has been acting crazy lately, one day I can load pictures but not type and he next day I can't do anything. So frustrating because I have lots to blog about. Guess I will keep trying and hopefully things will be back to normal soon!

Where's Hayley?

I went shopping today to finish getting the summer clothes for the kids and I. Hayley thought it would be funny if she joined the Old Navy mannequins and it was. I couldn't quit laughing at her, she literally stood like this for 5 minutes, I had to make her quit. Yes, I also took a picture of her standing there. Good ahead and judge, you know you'd done the same thing if it were your kid!!

Peas in a Pod

Friday night I took Bonnie, Robert and Hayley to see Prom. It was a very cute movie, not sure who laughed more the kids or I!  I am so blessed that we are able to do things that we take for granted (movies, eating, play dates, etc) with Bonnie. I couldn't imagine what they are going thru right now. It's hard enough losing a family member but then having to deal with the cultural/language barries as well.Such a difficult and  hard time for these kids, please remember Bonnie and her family in your prayers as they are trying to deal with the death of her Father last week!

Toes

I'm not a girlie girl by any means, I LOVE my jeans/tshirts/hoodies/sweats/flip flops/tennis shoes and boots. I don't own any high heels or dresses and am PROUD of that fact! Khaki's and Jeans work just fine for me when I HAVE to dress up.  If I spend more then 10 minutes on my hair, its entirely too long. I'm a Plain Jane kind of gal, could care less about my looks, seriously the cows and horses could care less what I look like when I go to feed them. I know shame on me, just give me some chap stick and mascara and all is good with the world! But I do love me a Pedi, especially at the start of summer!

What's a better way then to start a weekend off with one with Hayley? I do have to say that I have never paid for her to get a true Pedi before. She has been with me when I have gotten mine and usually I just pay the sweet lady to polish her toes and Hayley is fine with that. Now that she is older and we are going on our cruise, I wanted her toes and feet to look good, so I splurged!! She loved every second of it and I even let her pick out her polish....I had to cringe and about bit my tongue off when I saw her choice, but reminded myself that she is 7 and can get away with the beautiful color.
Yes, she picked out the abnormal normal color she could find....LIME GREEN

It is VERY bright and does match all 4 (yes she has that many) bathing suits! I didn't realize this until we got home that night! She is so proud and will show your her toes whether you ask or not!!
Summer can officially start now that our toes and feet are looking good!!

Taylorsville Lake

It was another beautiful evening, so we decided to take a little drive to the Dam to see how the Lake was looking. I am still amazed at how high the water is.

right after I took the picture above a huge wave hit..it was too funny!

Art Gallery

The kids worked all afternoon outside on my special Mother's Day present..an Art Gallery, just for me! I don't know if I were more excited that they can still entertain themselves for hours (they spent atleast 2 on this), their creativity, or the fact that they both got along?! Anyways, it was really sweet.

Hayley wrote a little opening speech to welcome me

Each piece of artwork had a title and was signed by them. So funny how they think of things--guess they are paying attention in school after all!

Mother's Day

I had a wonderful Mother's Day with the two most adorable kids in the whole entire world and the most amazing husband! My morning started off with begin able to sleep in, thanks to my hubby for getting the kids up and dressed for church! Church was having Muffins with Mom so that was another nice treat, not having to cook breakfast!

Team Kids always sing on holidays and its always a blessing to see all my kiddos up there! I actually got to sit back and not stress and watch this time, what a special treat!!

Hayley brought me home a flower from school on Friday, so we planted it this weekend!

Hunter made me this cool flower outta tissue paper! I have it in my car, it looks really cool~

The kids went shopping this weekend with Pop and Nana and were so excited to give me my gift! I was excited when I saw the Victoria Secret gift bag...either a gift card for new under ware, some lotion or perfume...well I WAS WRONG
a beautiful heart necklace outlined in diamonds! My kids have AWESOME taste--maybe they should be allowed to shop for Momma more often!

After lunch I was given a VIP ticket to an Art Gallery Show

I am truly blessed with the most amazing job ever..being a Mom!
Happy Mother's Day to all the amazing ladies and mother figures in my life!

Horse Stalls

This was the first weekend Brian has had off and it was not raining so we took advantage of it and got lots of little projects finished!! We are starting to get down to the crunch time for finishing up projects before our cruise!!

 First up: Horse Stalls

This is just some extra metal we had left over from the side of the barn, we have ordered more so we can complete this!  Lighting is going to be one spoiled horse!!

Barber Shop

Hunter had his first visit to a Barber Shop on Friday. Yes, he is 9 and has never gotten a haircut from anyone other then Brian, myself or Pop,we have always cut his hair! He was going thru this stage where he wanted to grow his hair, and this meaning longer then the #3 on the clippers, so he was in desperate need of a trim.  The guy that cut his hair asked Hunter what he wanted and he said a trim, kind like yours, and this is what he ended up with:

SO much better, a little short on the sides and back and longer on top! I can't believe how much older this makes him look. My baby is growing up on me. He was so excited to tell everyone this weekend that he had his 1st haircut in the Barber Shop and he looked like a Navy Seal!!

Hunter

LOVE this boy so much.

Lowe's

We are frequent customers at Lowe's with all the many projects that are going on at the Farm. I love how the kids get so excited to help with loading, pushing and unloading our items. They are growing up to fast! Maybe we could buy some blocks to put on their head to stunt their growth?!
