Ornament Shopping

Today we met Grandma, Aunt Amy and Keegan for our annual "Christmas Ornament Shopping Trip". Every year since the kids have been born, Grandma has bought them a special ornament as part of their Christmas present. When they are grown they will have some ornaments for their own tree. The last three years the kids kids have gotten to go and pick out their own ornaments--all by theirselves.
I was really surprised to see how many choice there are--there were at least a 100 different kinds on the Hallmark display-everything from traditional, Christmas movies, what's "in" for the year, to collector series (I bet Lauren is SO thankful for this!)
When we walked in, I just knew what Hayley was going to pick: Hannah Montana or High School Musical. Boy was I wrong! She went for some triple fairy musical thing.....we passed up Jonas brothers, HSM, Hannah Montana, Barbie, Tinker Bell and Frosty. Hunter had a hard time deciding on which ornament he was going to pick from: Star Wars, X-Games, Snowboarding, Hot Wheels, Video games---he ended up finally picking a Ben Ten Alien Force. Keegan is all about the super heroes, so his Super America pick was easy!
This is a tradition that the kids look forward to every year. When we put our tree up, the kids get excited to hang their ornaments up and always remember what year they got them.
We ended the day meeting up with Aunt Erin, Uncle Brian (Holdaway) and Grandpa Fisher for dinner at Cheddar's! Thanks for a fun filled day Grandma! We love you!!
