Picture day

Today is picture day, so I took advantage of the kids looking nice and practing their smiles. It's been raining for 5 days straight, so there is no telling how Hayley's hair will end up looking when time comes for pictures. I just hope and pray that their faces are clean, no lunch on their shirts
and Hunter's glasses are straight--if we accomplish that then all else will be fine!

No wonder the boys are chasing after her!

My little boy is growing up into a little man!

I now have proof you all did get along one time!

Hair

Our biggest problem in the morning is how Hayley wants to wear her hair. Typically I give her a choice but its understood that on gym days it HAS to be in a pony because she is sweat hog like her Daddy. I was totally amazed that yesterday morning she came to me and said she wanted a side pony!!! This was totally "blog and picture worthy!" We are making steps, even if they are baby steps!

Hunter's 1st Sleep-over

Hunter had his first ever sleep-over at our house on Friday. He asked Jacob Cundiff to stay all night. The boys were great--they had lots of fun playing and running around outside, jumping on the trampoline, playing basketball, feeding the animals and looking for deer. We even had a bon-fire complete with S'mores!

Lana Grace

On Wednesday night Lana came to play with us. It's a totally different atmosphere then Team Kids, Church and Sunday School so I didn't know how she would be. Boy was I wrong, Lana and Hayley had soo much fun running and playing with everything. My kiddos were soo tired at the end of the night and were dragging on Thursday morning as well. I tried my best to get some pictures, but more then half of them didn't turn out because they were too busy playing to say cheese. I did however, manage to get one or two! Thanks Bro. Josh and Diana for letting us keep her, we are looking forward to next week as well.

Laura Mae

and Kevin came to see us on Wednesday. It was so nice getting to see them and catch up a little. Hayley and I were spoiled with frequent trips to see her while Hunter was in school last year. Now we have to plan a day when we are both free to visit. Thanks for hanging out with us and next time we will come to your place...promise!

She dressed her self

Isn't she cute
Hayley wanted to dress herself today and boy was she proud. She even asked for ponytails with BOWS--I'm starting to wonder whose child she is?

Like Father....

I asked Hunter to get his shoes on and feed--this is what he did.

Ready, Aim, Fire

The kids saw some squirrels out today and decided that they needed to get out their guns Santa brought them and start practicing. Much to my surprise they did very well and got a kick out of the "ping" sound the coke can made when they hit it!

This is a rare occasion....they are actually that close to one another and behaving themselves....had to get a picture to remind myself of these moments

Dance Lessons

With the kids being out of school today we decided to rent some movies, this is a rare treat for us. Hayley chose Hannah Montana and Hunter chose Scooby Doo. We all sat down to watch Hannah Montana and were entertained thru out the movie with Hayley singing and dancing to all the songs. At the end Hayley was trying to give dance lessons on how to do the "HOE DOWN" to Daddy and Hunter...it was too cute!

Kart Kountry

We took advantage of this nice weather and long weekend and met the kids, Pop, Nana and Denny at Kart Kountry for some fun. This year it seems to be more fun for the kids since they both are tall enough to drive the go carts. Hayley is fine with the mini carts--it more her size and speed. Thank goodness she is laid back like her momma! Hunter is just like his Daddy, there is nothing that is fast enough for him! It's really a hoot, to see him out there on the big track--he does a good job keeping up with the big kids. After seeing Brian & Hunter race against Pop & Hayley and losing, I know where my son gets his phobia of losing from--his Daddy!!

Hayley has been wanting to try riding a "2 wheeler bike" for sometime now. Last week we were in the country and she tried with help from Hunter and did very well....she lasted 10-20 seconds at most. Today she has wanted to take her training wheels off her bike, I told her that out here there wasn't any good level, paved place to try and ride. After dinner, I looked out the window and she was riding an old bike of Hunter's in the front yard.

We talked her into riding in front of the house. The video is not all that clear but I just had my camera and was afraid that if I went to get the camcorder I would miss it all together. Pay close attention to Brian riding Hunter's bike and Hunter chasing him!! I tell you what, it's like I am raising 3 kids, not 2!!

My little artist

Hunter was asked in art class to draw what he did over the summer. Imagine what he drew--knee boarding behind the Skid (Squid)! I knew that everyone who was at Paradise would get a big kick out of this. I told him that the smile on his face when he got up couldn't fit on the paper.
(Ju--he really wanted Joel to see this--please make sure he does! I don't know who is more ate up with the boat, mine or yours)

Bonnie Hou

Ever since Hayley has started school this year, she keeps talking about Bonnie Hou. Not just her friend Bonnnie, but she is always referred to as "Bonnie Hou." Ms. Sweazy tells me that they are inseparable and too cute to see together. Bonnie's parents own the Chinese restaurant in town and Hayley is dying to go eat at "Bonnie's restaurant. How these two got paired together, I don't know. Bonnie is the total opposite of Hayley--quiet and reserved.--guess the old saying opposites attract is true in this case.
I was working at school today and wanted to drop in at lunch time to check things out and just see who this Bonnie that was my daughters new BFF (that just cracks me up)--I can honestly say that she is the cutest thing next to Hayley!
