Mammoth Cave

Brian decided that since school was going to start in 12 days (whose really counting?) that we needed to do something fun to end the summer. First, we were gonna go camping but with all the rain we have had and Hayley's allergies we decided it wouldn't be a good thing. So we packed up the truck and headed to Mammoth Cave for the day.

Hunter was very excited about going in a cave; Hayley poor thing made herself physically sick (we had to stop twice on the way there) for she thought it was going to be completely dark and she would have to do this by herself. Once we got there and reassured her that I would hold her hand, she was alright. We did the Historical Tour, 2 hours and 2 miles--it wasn't long and boring and kept the kids attention, much to my surprise!

Like father, like son!

I had to laugh....

Walking thru Wal-Mart:

Hunter: "Cool, I didn't know that they sell surf boards here" (in utter and complete amazement)

Me: "Uh, son, those are not surf boards...they are ironing boards."

The joys of being a mother!

So pretty
This Hunter's way of feeding. He tells us that its easier to get all the bread out to the barrel this way. As you can tell by his face he is not happy that I took his picture, but are the ever?

Happy Birthday

We helped celebrate Nana's (Jackie) birthday after church. Kristian made a yummy cake and we enjoyed playing outside in the beautiful weather. Thanks Eric and Tony for your all your energy and always wearing out my kids.

Happy birthday to you...

I just couldn't resist taking this picture for proof later in life that they did get along and love each other at one time.

Our little girl.....

is growing up. Hayley has been asking to get her ear pierced for a while now so we took her yesterday after church. She did AWESOME-didn't even flinch or cry! I wanted her to get gold balls, but she sweet talked her Daddy into some pink daisy earrings instead! You don't even have to ask to see her ears, she is so proud to show them off. Is she a little diva or what?
