Team Dinner

Friday night we hosted the CC team for a pasta dinner. We had planned on doing this once a month but there was no extra days with practice and meets that would allow us to do so. I honestly can say that this is the best group of kids I have ever met. They are all around good kids--have good moral and values, good academically, good athletically and come from good homes. I would have no problem with sending the kids over to their house and feeling comfortable with that. (My kids have only stayed with one other person then family--I am weird like that!)

7 of the kids rode the bus home with Hunter--the laughter and noise that followed them warmed my heart.  They went straight to work writing their letter to Coach Ricky for the memory book.

The parents have been submitting pictures all season long of meets, practices, dinners, etc and we organized them and made a scrap book along with every newspaper clipping. Coach was really touched by this!

Tab and Ali said a few words before prayer and presented Coach with his gift.

Team prayer then we all dug in!

Yummy card loaded food
On to State in the morning!

CC Regionals

Tuesday was regionals in Bardstown. I LOVE this course, its a good combination on flat and hills--scenery is beautiful and it was my first 3K I ran 5 years ago!

***confession---I was very worried about how Hunter would do this at this meet. We had just went to Disney for a week and this meaning he missed practice the entire week. I did make him run while on vacation but its not the same. Our eating habits and sleeping habits were off***

resting and relaxing before the meet

I can't say enough about these kids--they are awesome!! This is something that happens before every meet, us parents do not say "go pray" but they take it upon themselves to do so. I get teary eyed listened to them and watching them.

He was looking good--3rd the whole race

Coach Smith--he is the most dedicated person I ever know. A mixture between: dad, uncle, brother, grandfather, friend, teacher and enemy.

headed to the finish line

Hunter ran a 3K (3000 meters, 1.8 miles for Jaime Mac) and placed 3rd over all. 2nd in MS boys and 1st for Spencer County. His time was 12:32.05 (slowest all season-)

Onto State in 2 weeks

Hayley can now do her own eye drops

and ear drops.

BIG MILESTONE for us!!

Disney day 5

Sadly, our trip was coming to an end--we had to pack up and head back to the farm! A little r and r poolside before we left

screen time on way to airport

leaving the warm, sunny skies of Florida....tear :(
Brian was out in no time
Momma too
such a beautiful sight

Insert 70 minutes of crying hysterically of a 90 minute flight. Hayley is usually not like that. The flight was very turbulent, we were going into storms. By the time we landed she was screaming about her ears and eyes. She is a peanut baby (severely allergic to all nuts and tree nuts). I thought it might just be because of peanut dust on plane. NOPE---straight to Immediate Care and she was winner of double ear infection, upper respiratory infection, sinus infection and pink eye! Go figure--go big or go home!

Day 4--Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom was lots of fun, trails to hike, animals to see and a few rides. This was our earliest day we left the park--we did it all and were ready for an early night. The kids weren't melting down YET but it was coming soon.

a fun little jungle cruise to see animals

the kids were so intent on watching everything
Brian and Hunter waiting to bomb the rest of the family on the rapids

sky writing during lunch--it was so neat to see and a nice reminder too

my favorite ride-

God's greatest gifts to me

Pool and Pizza party for dinner

Downtown Disney fun

(check out their guns= jealous momma!)

and man and his video games

Day 3--Magic Kingdom

Same plan as before, up and at them early, open and close the park but today was special: Halloween in Disney, Trick or Treating!!

Before pirate make overs for the kids

Transformation begins

Grandma and Grandpa with their Pirates

Dinner at 500 Park Fair

In Disney there are no food rules--you eat constantly and things that are so bad for you. Check out Hunter's plate--can we say carb and starch loaded?!

isn't this how every pirate puts on her lip-gloss?

waiting for candy

yes, we still hold hand in public

trying to burn off some of those extra 25,000 calories from constantly eating

our favorite ride

sneaking a kiss in..shhhh

castle turned orange

more fireworks
Brian named Hayley Piglet when she was a couple days old because she was always nursing! It has stuck and she LOVES piglet, sleeps with a stuffed animal and everything. We waited in line 90 minutes just to get her picture and autograph---it was true love for my child.

Hunter was trying to act too cool for pictures, this was a forced picture!
