Paradise Day 7

Today was the last day and we ended our awesome week with the annual talent show and a special event: It was GG & Gramp's 64th Anniversary--so we had to celebrate this Paradise style! Happy Anniversary and thank you for your constant reminder of what family and unconditional love is.

Paradise Day 5

It's Wednesday and what's a better way to spend such a nasty and rainy day then at the library. We got our pith hats (aka jungle hats) and headed off the island to see Crocodile Colleen with Silly Safari. The kids enjoyed getting to see a bunny, chicken, slimy tree frog, lizard (which kissed Max!), turtles, and yes an alligator which we all got to pet!

HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY HENRY!!! Today is Henry's birthday so after dinner we are going to have a pinata and movie night. The downstairs will be magically transformed into PARADISE DRIVE IN and our feature for tonight will be "Madagascar 2" for the kids and "Raiders of the Lost Ark" for the adults--both complete with Popcorn!
And let the movie begin....

Paradise Day 3

Monday was another action packed day and our challenges were Melt Down and Jungle Charades. Each team had to melt an ice cube and free the spider that was in there, first one to do so won immunity! (My team one--yeah Blue Hamm'r Head Sharks!) after we completed that task, we had Jungle Charades. It was neat to see how the little ones could act out the many differnent jungle animals and endless Disney movies.
Hurry and melt you dang ice cube

Rub faster!

Paradise Day 2

Today is Sunday and we have "survived" our first night with everyone. It was another action, full-filled day with few quiet moments. Challenges for today were: Name that Food (a taste testing game), Who the coolest (get in a baby pool of cold ice water, whoever stays the longest wins. We had to declare a tie between Mom and Kyle! The little kids had their own version of this game, who could sit the longest on their bottom in the kiddy pool. Again it was a tie between Charlotte and Sam) and an obstacle course! Pictures do not serve all the justice--it was pretty amusing to see all the action. Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!

Paradise Day 1

Today was check-in for our week long vacation at Paradise. This has been a Spitznagel family tradition, I can remember doing this since grade school--I am not sure when we started this but will have to check and let you all know.

Tribe/buffs assignments and names. Each team was divided up and was given the tasks to come up with a creative name and decorate a poster with you teammates. Teams names were: Blue Hamm'r Head Sharks, Orange Crush, Red Pride, Yellow Sun Fire Tigers, and Green Lilly Pad A Gators. decorating water bottles.

We also decorated our water bottles for the week with lots of cool stickers, animals and our names.
