Happy Birthday Grandpa

Grandpa Fisher's birthday was Tuesday, so we took him out for dinner tonight at WW Cousins to celebrate. I can remember going her on special occasions, mainly when Dad had customers in town and thought that we were eating high on the hog. It was always so yummy and neat to see everything--the slab of meat hanging as you walked in (no worries, not there now) and the baking of croutons and their famous delicious cookies that are HUGE and how could I forget, the tree that was growing in the middle of the restaurant!
The kids were looking forward to this all week and were super excited to go and experience this for their first time!!  Hayley had been talking about wanting to set the croutons and Hunter the tree, I mean its the little things in life that keeps my kiddos happy!!

Hayley, Grandpa and Hunter

crazy boys

Keegan was entertaining us while we waited for our burgers!

LOVE this rotten boy!

It's nearly impossible to get a good picture of all the "Fisher" grand kids-they are each getting to the age where they don't want their picture taken at all!!
Grandpa was letting the kids feel this cool tree that's in the middle of the restaurant! It blew my kids mind!!
Hayley had a little melt down because they were not making any croutons-but I told her that she could still get her picture taken with the ones that were made earlier today!

Happy Birthday Grandpa!!

CATS testing

CATS testing (the KY version of ISTEP) is starting on Wednesday, and in order to get the kids excited and ready for this BIG test, parents were encouraged to decorate their lockers! I stayed after school and let the kids ride the bus home on Thursday so I could sneak and decorate Hunter's!
I was so proud that Hayley took the time in art to make him such a cool sign (thanks Cat!) She really is the sweetest sister anyone could have. I think that she is more excited about the test then he is!

Good Luck Hunter!!!

Stranger in my bed...

I came home Wednesday from picking up the kids and found this strange man in my bed...

He looked vaguely familiar, like the man I married some almost 9 years ago, I had to call the kids in to double check that is was him!! Poor thing was worn out, he has been working 16-18 hour days for the past 8 days and we were getting to see him every 2nd day when he would come home long enough to shower and get a few (4 if he was lucky) hours of sleep and clean clothes.
We are truly appreciate all that you do for us, love you and couldn't ask for a better Daddy and Hubby. Praying that this weather and the long hours are a thing of the past SOON!!

Easter

What's Easter without Pa hatching chicks?

Aunt Erin was in charge on herding all the kidos and giving instructions for the Spitznagel Egg Hunt

 LOVE that boy so much!

Quick stop for a picture with Grandma
 Counting Eggs

It wouldn't be a family gathering if I didn't have a picture with Keegan
Waiting paitently for Egg Hunt prizes
 Hayley chose a necklace/earring set
Hunter chose chocloate...go figure, more sugar!
Lola must of been extra special because the Easter Bunny left her a Michael Jackson doll!

Me and GG
Aunt Erin decided that the kids needed these double barrel dart guns...just wait til she has kids.....PAYBACKS
Easter Baskets from Grandma/Grandpa and Aunt Amy: candy, swimsuits, flipflops, and goggles--we are getting ready for the BAHAMAS!!

Just for Daddy

Brian has been working crazy and long hours (16-18 hour days), thank to all the lovely weather we have been having lately. He was not a happy camper that he was going to miss Easter--this is the first holiday he has missed since Hunter was born 9 years ago!! When I talked to him Sunday morning he asked that I take lots of pictures so he could at least see the kids dressed up!

It was a very weired Easter, not having him around. The kids and I missed him like crazy. That is one thing that when you are married to a lineman, Mother Nature doesn't really keep your plans in mind! I am blessed that the kids adjust well and we were still able to do the  traditional celebrations;  Church, Wethington's and Fisher's

Easter Morn

The Easter Bunny stopped at our house this morning.
I love how Hayley's hair is all bed head, she was SO excited to see what the Easter Bunny had brought. Hunter is getting to THAT age where he could care less, breaks my heart they are growing up way too fast.

Sunglasses for our cruise

Ax body spray...he wanted it!

Happy Easter!!

CrAzY wEaThEr

We have been having some crazy weather these past couple of days...lots of rain, tornado warnings/watches, a dry/sunny day and then freezing temps!! Go figure, its the Spring in Kentckiana!!

Tornado's in Mt Eden---no body hurt, just trees down

My pretty flowers are starting to bloom,  hoping the wind doesn't hurt them!!

The holler is now a rolling creek--its so awesome to hear

standing water everywhere in the yard
We put water to the barn a couple of weeks ago and have filled all the ditch but this little section, needless to say that its holding water. I took this picture Wednesday, now its over flowing!! Like our bridge?
Poor drive.....the gravel is getting washed away. If we ever get come into a lot of money, this is going to be our project-raising drive and black top or concrete. One can dream, cant they?
I love all the little water falls and creeks that are popping up on the farm. So peaceful sounding and pretty to watch!

I am so thankful that this far we have not had any damage other then a few tree tops down here and there.
                      Happy Soggy Saturday!!
