Rehearsal Dinner

Friday was the long awaited for day....the WEDDING REHEARSAL and everyone was super excited. We I have been obnoxiously counting down to this day for the past 2 years. Oh, the things I do for my little/big sister.
As soon as we got there we checked out the Gillespie and it was BEAUTIFUL and so fitting for Erin. Very old and cool and full of neat things that she likes. I wish that I would of taken more pictures of the neat little things: the vault, elevators, pillars, ceiling,  our dressing room, etc. but the lighting wasn't the best and I was too busy with other  bridesmaid things.

After the rehearsal we headed across the bridge to the Ellnor's for the rehearsal dinner. I had no idea what to expect after being told that it was going to be catered by a "grilled cheese truck." We have seen these on the Food Network and they have always looked pretty cool and yummy.  (Denise, this picture is just for you!!)

OH. MY. WORD. it was beyond yummy--every type of sandwich and cheese you could imagine!! Traditional grilled cheese, s'mores, pizza, Elvis are just some of the ones I remembered!! Thanks so much Wanda and Ed!!

Pizza grilled cheese: pepperoni, cheese, onions

I think that this was my favorite part of the evening and have asked for the making of this in my stocking. WINE SLUSH and it was made with Oliver  Soft Red (that's my FAVORITE). Maybe they will adopt me??

After we ate Erin gathered all the little kids to pass out gifts. I was so amazed at how well they all played with each other, we hardly saw them all night because they were playing so nicely. The boys are into Lego's and  the girls are into makeup, fingernail polish, and anything girlie.

Hayley, Charlotte, Grace, Hunter, Gabe and Keegan

And you know that it wouldn't be right if there wasn't a picture of Keegan and me!

It took NO time before Grace was into her Tangled beauty kit and she is so cute that we couldn't say no to her when she wanted help with her fingernails and earrings. Erin was having too much fun with this and gave Grace a custom piercing of a nose and eyebrow ring! I can't wait until she has kids...paybacks!!

I was a wonderful evening and we are so blessed to share this special day with Erin and Brian. We are ready to get our PAR-TAY on (as Hayley says) tomorrow.

Wrestle Mania

I LOVE how at any given moment Wrestle Mania can bust out at any given time.

Wedding Preparations

Only 2 days until Aunt Erin's wedding and we are getting SO excited!! The kids and I spent the day  doing our last minute preparations...haircut for Hunter, mani/pedi with Emily and picking up Hunter's suite. Grandpa met us at Rally's to pick up Hunter and they ran errands while Hayley and I got our fingers and toes done. Thanks Grandpa,  for entertaining Hunter for me.
One of the many advantages of having a HUGE family is that you are blessed with cousins of every job possible, Emily is our personal family manicurist!! She did a wonderful job, too bad we don't live closer, I could get used to this kind of pampering!

After we were done getting pampered we headed to David's Bridal/Men's Warehouse to pick up Hunter's suit for the wedding. He was less then excited to have to try it on, thankfully we did because we had to get a longer shirt. I told him this was practice for the big day and he better get used to people wanting his picture because it wasn't often we get all cleaned up and in a suit or dress for that matter.
Can't believe that it's almost here!! WE ARE SO EXCITED!!

Sleeping Beauty

I went in to check on Hayley before I went to be and found this....
Little Ms. Thang was passed out cold, getting her beauty sleep.
She is something else and is always making me laugh, even when she is sleeping.

Mega Cavern

Hunter's class went to Mega Cavern on Friday and I got to tag along. I am cherishing these memories because I know that they are slowly coming to an end and it will no longer be cool to have your Momma around on field trips! My little boy is growing up so fast, its breaks my heart.

Poor thing, there are some things your just can't change and that would be his liking for UL. He is the only one in our family who likes UL, we give him a hard way to go. Needless to say, I am not going to quit wearing my UK clothes.

The tour was interesting, I do have to say that I like the "Lights under Louisville" much better, but its something that we can say we have done.  I would like to do the zip line tour with the kids but will have to wait until they are old enough (10 years) and weigh at least 50 pounds.

All the pictures I took were too dark to tell what they were besides these. Oh well, I have memories that will last longer then pictures right?!

Really don't know how I would feel about seeking shelter under here with 50,000 people if we had a natural disaster. I remember at the entrance to the Christmas lights they had a sign up advertising this, not the best feeling in the world. Think that we will just stay put on the farm and pray that we will never have to face this in our lifetime!

I am truly blessed that I can share these special days with each of my kiddos.

Smart Kids

I can't believe that we have been in school long enough to get report cards already! Time is flying by this year, guess it's because we have been super busy with school and everything else. The kids brought home their report cards this week and I am SUPER PROUD of them both.  I honestly don't know where they get their smarts from because Brian and I were not the best students in school, must be from their Aunts!!

Hunter is once again of the Principals' list, all A's.  We got back our results from the KCCT (like ISTEP for you Indiana people) test last year and he scored DISTINGUISHED in all areas tested!!! My little brain child, hope this continues for years to come. His teachers are please with his work ethic and behavior, guess he is saving his attitude for when he is home. He is very easy going and loves school (thank you, Jesus!), we have no problem with him doing his homework or assignments. He is on the Academic Team, which is right up his alley, and LOVES it. They practice once a week and will have competitions starting in January so that will be interesting. I just hope he doesn't ask me if I know the answer because some of the things he is studying makes my head hurt!!

Hayley made all M's (meets the standard) and P's (progressing). This year has been good for her as far as a change from 1st grade, we still have somethings to work on. Hayley comes home most days and is worn out from "so much work."  I laughed at the comment Mrs. Kinzel wrote :"Hayley is extremely bright and very helpful. She is doing great in math and reading. She needs to work on using self control and not calling out. She also has a tendency to be bossy at times." Yep, that's my mother-hen daughter who has lots of Wethington and Fisher in her.  She was pretty embarrassed by this comment so I know she won't let happen again!!

I am beyond proud of both of my kids and can't wait to see the progress they make these next 9 weeks!

Beautiful Night

The weather has been beautiful and the leaves are starting to change and fall, perfect combination for an after dinner walk. We love living out in the country, especially this time of year.  Looking forward to being able to enjoy the weather and leaves more next week over Fall Break
