Only a farmer

would love pictures like this!!

This is what the steps leading to the back door looks like nightly after we all are done doing our farm chores. I have walked past this countless times each day/night and even have complained about the boots being there countless times as well. It wasn't until today that I stopped and took a picture!! It's something about being a famer and living on a farm that makes you count your blessings, especially the small things in life--and this is one of them!

Crazy Hair

Hayley wanted me to braid her hair so that it would turn "wavy" over night. After we got out of the shower it took me 11/2 long hours for me to do this--42 braids later this is what it looked like....

She is such a random child and when she sets her mind to something, watch out!! She is very excited to see what it looks like tomorrow morning when we take them all out--stay turned for pictures.

Naptime

This is what nap time looked like today at the house.
Isn't that sweetest picture you have seen--

Art Lesson 101

Hayley had brought home lots of her artwork from this year and was excited to explain how she made each piece.
She was explaining to me symmetry--
I mean seriously, how many 6 year olds can say the word  symmetry and explain what it means. Guess Hayley was paying attention to Mrs. Knapp in Art Class!

I was following instructions from my teacher: fold paper in half and cut shapes on it--
BUT  DO NOT CUT ON THE LINE

Isn't my picture pretty? Hayley thinks so and hung it on the fridge!

Sprinkler fun

The kids enjoyed having some fun tonight playing in the sprinkler. It amazes me the endless fun that one can have running, jumping, drinking and playing in water! We are so ready for school to be out and to spend the summer by the pool!

Silly Boy

Check out those boots with his swimming trunks!!
He truly is a farmer thru and thru.

Be still my heart...

Brian and I were outside working in the yard and this is what we saw....
Hunter was teaching Hayley how to shoot her Bow! It was the sweetest thing and proof that they both really do care about each other. There are some days that we question it--we know its just the brotherly/sisterly love overflowing, or at least that is what we tell ourselves!
