Fall fun
We took advantage of the beautiful weather that we had Friday and went into Louisville to drop off our supplies for the Chicken coop. While Brian and I were helping Ma and Pa, the kids thought it would be fun to pick up all the leaves (ah to be a kid again!) They had lots of fun getting leaves in the wheel barrow and throwing them at the chickens. I think they had more blow back out then in!!
Chicken Coop
Couple of weeks ago, a little mink decided that he would eat him some chickens--OK actually 12! With this in mind and how Ma and Pa love their chickens, we decided that we would build them a bigger and better chicken coop for their Christmas present! The one that they have now is 30 years old--don't get me wrong it's still standing and all, but this one will be "more up to date" We had lots of fun with everyone who helped with our project--Aunt Vickie, Uncle Ricky, Tony, Chelsey, Pop, Nana, Hunter, Hayley, Brian and I. The only person who didn't get to help is Eric--he had to work--we will save the concrete floor for him!
*The computer is being stuborn so my pictures won't be in order--here they are, will try to fix later!*

Friday night fun.
Friday night church has a small Fall Fest. It was a nasty, cold and rainy day so I thought what a better way to spend a Friday night. Brian was in the bed, he worked 40 out of the last 48 hours, so this was even more of an excuse to get out of the house. We enjoyed great food, fellowship, games and candy!

Counting
Hayley has really been working on counting, number patters, odd and even numbers at school. It's a daily thing to hear her count to 100 every way she knows how and she gets SO excited! Her newest "trick" is to count by 5's dancing--imagine that, Hayley dancing! She has already learned so much in school: days of the week, months, hours, minutes, how to spell or (should I say sing) all the colors. Ms. Sweazy tells me all the time that she could be teaching Kindergarten.
Hunter has master his mad minute tests!! This is a weekly 50 question, one minute time limit, test that Ms. Sienicki give in order to sharpen their addition and subtraction skills from 0-19. He is one of three who have mastered both test! This month they have really been working on multiplication tables 0-7--he is getting better everyday--he asks to do flashcards nightly. I guess this is the Wethington coming out in him--he wants to make a race (he can win) out of this!

Locks of Love
There have been several people who are close to us who have been battling Cancer and just recently a dear little lady from church, Ms. Dortha, lost her battle. Every week as we went to get an allergy shot, we would stop and visit with Ms. Dortha and Hayley would take a weekly coloring page to her. She looked forward to this every week.
Every night when I put Hayley to bed she always prays for "Spencer's grandma, Ms. Jo" So when she said that she wanted to cut her hair and donate it for Ms. Jo, it brought tears to my eyes. What a self-less thing to do from someone so little. I called and made an appointment for last week since we were on fall break, but Tab was sick so we had to do it today.
After school I picked her up and we headed to the salon. Hayley was SO excited and happy to do this (so was Momma--no more fighting with tangles, fixing it, or washing it) and couldn't wait for it to be done so we could go and show Ms. Jo before church! Words can't begin to express how grateful she was that Hayley did this, even though she will more then likely won't be the one receiving her hair. I told her she would look good brown haired!!
Continue to pray for those who are battling this ugly disease, for a cure and their care-takers.

Baking Fun
Since the weather has done nothing but rainy for days un-end, I have been looking at a new cookbook and decided to try some new recipes! This morning Hayley and I got up and decided that we were going to bake--Eric's cookie cake, chocolate chip cookies, Tracy's cake and Apple Cinnaon Jelly. I am so glad that Hayley likes to help me in the kitchen was lots of fun and boy did we make a mess!! Several times I had to stop and take a deep breath when looking at the floor and counter covered in flour and sugar. It was well worth the mess in the end and man are we good cooks--just ask the boys!
