HAPPY EASTER

The kids woke up early (6:45) and were excited to see what the Easter Bunny had brought them. I guess someone thought the kids were good: candy, sidewalk chalk, crayons, Holiday World Season Passes..it was like Christmas all over again!

Sleeping Beauty awoke...look at that hair!

After we ate breakfast and got all cleaned up (which I must say we do clean up pretty well) we headed outside to get some pictures before we headed to Louisville for church and lunch with Pop/Nana, Ma/Pa and the Halls.

WARNING: Hayley was being little Ms. Model and I couldn't pick out just one picture, so I am gonna bless you with them all...consider it my Easter gift to you! On the other hand, Hunter was being himself and the turd that he is when it comes to pictures, not wanting to take any--so needless to say he is not happy that he HAD to take some with his Sister--oh the thought!!

Hayley had been missing "cousin" Tony badly--she was SO excited to see him at church and ran right up to him--she needed some "Tony time"--had to get a picture and everything!
Since Brian had to work on Saturday night and didn't get any sleep, he was "excused" from church and got a catnap in the truck...he was all smiles afterwards!! Thank Goodness, it would of been a L-O-N-G day other wise for all of us!!
After our delicious lunch Eric and Brian tilled up the garden for Ma and Pa while we had our egg hunt-

Whose to say that there is an age limit on hunting eggs? I love the that Aunt Vickie and Pop still hunt eggs with all of us--they are such BIG kids and makes it all the more fun!!
Hunter and Hayley finding eggs--

lots of goodies in these eggs-

We are truly blessed that most of our (mine and Brian's) Grandparents are alive and healthy. This is something that I know we cherish as well as the kids--knowing and being able to create memories with their Great-Grandparents!

We got back in the car and headed over to Indiana to hunt eggs with the Spitznagel cousins. It is complete and utter chaos when you have 14 great grand kids under the age of 8 wanting to hunt eggs. Thankfully the "Hens" have figured out a plan and we have to release them 2 x 2 from youngest to oldest--it looks like the Derby with all the kids trying to get out the door!!

Baby Macy and Stacie were first out:
Lola and Drew
Henry and Charlotte
Keegan and Sam
Ben and Hayley
Max, and Bree
Hunter and Kieran

there were kids, adults, cameras, candy and eggs everywhere!!

Heather and Aubrey always try to spot by on holidays--we love when we get to see and play with Aubrey. Breaks my heart that she is getting so big, looking and acting like her mother~

I hope that each and everyone of you had a blessed Easter!

Coloring Eggs

Things have been so hectic here lately that we didn't get to color our eggs until Saturday night--this is a week later then when we usually do them!! The kids always seem to have fun and are getting better about the mess that comes along with dying eggs!

Hunter's 1st Turkey

Today was opening day of youth season and Hunter harvested his first Tom--9 inch beard and 22.1 pounds!!! Brian had to work so Pop was the lucky one who got to take Hunter out to the fields!! After calling for a while, a few were in sight and the next thing you know, "BANG" he is on the ground. His friend was in denial, he wouldn't leave and even pounced on the decoys!! Hunter easily could of had two turkeys, but just got the one. He is so excited and proud and so are we!!
Game on big boys--lets see who can beat him now!!

Breaking ground....

for our garden!! Brian has started to break ground for the garden and we are excited to play in the dirt over Spring Break. We need to pick up all the rocks so that he can work his magic and get our dirt just perfect for our veggies!! Hayley has made a list of veggies that she wants to plant: corn, green beans, tomato, green pepper, cucumbers (for pickles) lettuce, carrots, pumpkins and berries---I am sure that we will have a little of everything. Hunter on the other hand, just wants green beans, lima beans and pumpkins!

3,000

Mrs. Sienicki had promise a candy bouquet to the first student who reached 3000 correctly on their number line and Hunter was the winner! The students have been working on their number lines all year long and keep their "number scrolls" in a Pringles can..it's really neat!

Hayley's exciting week..

What an exciting week it has been for Hayley, and we are glad that we are having a "good" week this far--we (or should I say) needed it. She has had a rough couple of weeks here lately with all her aliments, but we are just taking one day at time and the good with the bad, praying that relief is found soon for everyone, and I do mean EVERYONE!!
~ Report cards were sent home and she is above average in all subjects!
~ Has now started reading "pink dot" books this week and has done wonderfully!!
~ Oh how could I forget...she is now taking on the "job" of becoming more self sufficient and has to wipe her own lunch table off. For those of you who don't know how spoiled Hayley and I are, Mrs. Foreberger makes she that her lunch table is peanut free and sanitary daily!! She personally wipes it down with cleaner and see that all her lunch buddies are eating peanut free lunches as well!! After having our 504 meeting this past week, we wanted to start implementing some items that Hayley can do herself and feel comfortable with for next year and that was one of the things...too bad we just can't take Mrs. Forberger with us to first grade!!
